Daddy's Class in 1983

I was kindly sent a photo from 1983 of my father's class;he taught math for many years. He looks like he is enjoying himself here, doesn't he? Teaching is like that; you do enjoy it some of the time.

Sheila T's Scrapbook: Friday's Family Favorite Fotos

This is a photo from the 1940's of my father's family. I am guessing at the year based on their ages. L to R: Uncle John, Aunt Mary, Daddy, Aunt Dorothy, Uncle Bob, and Aunt Peg. They are lined up by height rather than age, so I had to keep looking back at the photo to get my names right!

To see some other "Favorite Family Fotos," go to Deborah's "Pictures, Pots, and Pens." Thank you, Deborah!

Friday Favorite Family Foto: Visit to Stone Mt.

My two cousins and I were visiting Stone Mountain (near Atlanta) when we were little. This is maybe 1964? I do not have a date for this photo. That's me in the dress. My little brother, my grandparents, my parents, and my aunt were all there, also. For those familiar with Stone Mountain, I do not remember that there was anything to do there except ride the train and look at the mountain! Still, I know my grandmother brought a picnic, and we had a great time.

Bye, Molly!

Bye, bye, Molly! Molly is a very sweet dog who turned up over at my daughter and her roommates' house. They already have three dogs and could not care for her. She is so pretty and gentle that I really wanted her. However, at our house we have FOUR dogs ourselves! We tried keeping Molly with us, but our little boy dogs just were too agitated by this beautiful newcomer. After they ran off into the wilderness with her the other day, and stayed missing long enough for both of us to become HYSTERICAL, I knew we would not be able to keep her. Our niece and her husband have two children, and they agreed to take her. They just love her, so everyone is happy now. I miss Molly, though.
