This is a photo from the 1940's of my father's family. I am guessing at the year based on their ages. L to R: Uncle John, Aunt Mary, Daddy, Aunt Dorothy, Uncle Bob, and Aunt Peg. They are lined up by height rather than age, so I had to keep looking back at the photo to get my names right!

Friday Favorite Family Foto: Visit to Stone Mt.

My two cousins and I were visiting Stone Mountain (near Atlanta) when we were little. This is maybe 1964? I do not have a date for this photo. That's me in the dress. My little brother, my grandparents, my parents, and my aunt were all there, also. For those familiar with Stone Mountain, I do not remember that there was anything to do there except ride the train and look at the mountain! Still, I know my grandmother brought a picnic, and we had a great time.

This is a picture of my older daughter when she was a baby. She will be 20 in January. This was the first time she put her foot in her mouth!

This is a photo of my great-aunt when she was young: Jessie McClure. She never married, and she lived to be almost 100 years old. (I don't mean to imply that not being married gave her a long life span!) That's a great hat, don't you think?
